Quinoa is high in anti-inflammatory phytonutrients, which make it potentially beneficial for human health in the prevention and treatment of disease.Quinoa contains small amounts of the heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids and, in comparison to common cereal grasses has a higher content of monounsaturated fat. As a complete protein, quinoa contains all nine essential amino acids – including the elusive lysine and isoleucine acids, which most other grains lack. Naturally high in dietary fibre, quinoa is a slowly digested carbohydrate, making it a good low-GI option.

The idea for the creation of Joice Foods was born in 2015 when Dimitris Emmanouilidis collaborated with a fifth-generation bakery friend who wanted to change the profile of his bakery products and develop his exports. After a study of about eight months on products and markets abroad and in collaboration with food technologists and nutritionists, Dimitris Emmanouilidis and Sandy Koutsostamatis, a well-known psychotherapist in Thessaloniki, came to the recipe of success. The company’s strategy is to grow only with 100% organic and gluten-free products. Recently, the cereals of the company have grown into Cereously Organic, that is to say 100% organic and suitable for vegans.
